Writer and Video Journalist
Over the past few years I've become a truly multimedia reporter, combining work in print, video and photography. It's both a challenge and a dream come true - I can't think of any better way to spend a day than juggling multiple cameras and a notebook, recording the details of new places and important voices.
Working in Mexico City from 2006-2008 I covered a range of topics from art exhibits and celebrity visits to environmental and technological trends, seeking to use Mexico as a window into larger issues in the developing world. Since then I've explored some of the same concepts in my own backyard, reporting stories from Massachusetts, Louisiana and California.
My writing has been used in the US, Europe, Latin America and Asia, appearing in The New York Times, The Christian Science Monitor, Forbes, USA Today, The Washington Post, El Universal and many others. My video stories are distributed through the Associated Press Television Network and have appeared on the National Geographic Channel and Yahoo News, in addition to a variety of international networks.
